PEW Privacy Policy
We use information to run PEW, save your progress, protect the game and respond when something goes wrong. You can turn off automatic Match & crash reports in Settings → Privacy. You can contact us about your information at support@pewfps.com.
Who is responsible
ANTLER ENTERPRISES LIMITED, trading as Last Ditch Games, is the controller of personal information we process for PEW and this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 10220815. Our registered office is A4G Suite Nepicar House, London Road, Wrotham Heath, Kent, United Kingdom, TN15 7RS. Use the support email above for privacy questions and requests.
What we receive and use
- Discord account information: your Discord identifier, display name and avatar, received from Discord when you sign in. We use account and session references to authenticate you and, during the private test, check whether you have access.
- Game information: your profile, settings, progress, match results, balances, inventory and reward records. Other players can see your in-game name, appearance and match information. Reward records help prevent duplicate grants.
- Connection and security information: IP addresses, request information and browser/device details processed by our hosting and security services to deliver and protect PEW and the website.
- Error reports: when automatic reporting is enabled, error messages and technical traces, release version, browser/platform details, session and match references, and recent game context such as map, mode, class and performance. These reports are not necessarily anonymous. Sentry is configured to scrub IP addresses from new stored events; other hosting/security processing can still involve IP addresses.
- Support and bug reports: your contact details, message and any attachments you provide. An in-game report can include your player reference and diagnostic game context. Please do not send passwords, access tokens or full card details.
- Entitlement and transaction records: where relevant to existing rights or future purchases, product identifiers, provider purchase references, delivery status and refund/dispute records. Production purchases are currently disabled. Discord and its payment providers handle their own checkout information; PEW does not need your full card number to deliver goods.
Why we use information
- Providing the game: authentication, matches, saved progression and delivery of entitlements are necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Keeping it reliable and fair: detecting abuse, protecting accounts, reconciling rewards and investigating faults serve our legitimate interests in a secure, working game. We take account of your rights, limit access and provide reporting controls.
- Helping you: support and dispute handling are necessary to provide the service or serve our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and resolving problems.
- Legal requirements: we use information where needed to comply with applicable accounting, regulatory and other legal duties, or establish or defend legal claims.
Required account and gameplay information is necessary for online play and saved progression. If you do not provide it, those features will not work. Support messages and automatic diagnostic reports are optional. We do not use PEW data for targeted advertising or sell personal information.
Device storage and reporting choices
PEW uses browser storage for settings, session information and local game state. Clearing this storage can sign you out or remove local settings and unsynchronised progress; it does not erase server-held records. Discord and our hosting services may also use their own necessary security/session technologies.
Settings → Privacy has separate Match & crash reports and Product insights controls. Both currently default to on after settings load unless you turn them off. The current production build has error reporting to Sentry, but no active replacement backend for the separate product/match analytics collectors. The existence of a switch is not a claim that those analytics are being received.
Turning reporting off does not prevent essential play, security checks or reward settlement. A bug report you deliberately submit remains a separate action. We do not describe a default-on setting as your consent. Where consent is legally required for optional storage or reporting, it must be obtained separately before that processing; this notice is not a consent request. The current build does not enable Sentry session replay or performance tracing.
Highlights and optional video transfers
PEW can record short gameplay highlights with game sound on your device. While capture is enabled, a short rolling buffer lets you choose to save your own kills; unselected footage stays temporarily in memory. Completed killcams are also saved. You can turn capture off in Highlights. New recordings contain game visuals and sound effects at your chosen game volume, including in-game aliases and match information. Older recordings may be silent. Highlights never record your microphone, Discord voice chat or desktop. Highlights are stored in this browser or Discord app storage under the signed-in PEW account, within an overall device budget of eight clips and 96 MiB. In the updated Highlights build, clips become unavailable after 12 hours and are removed when the library is next accessed; storage limits or your browser can remove them earlier. You can delete individual highlights or clear the app's local storage. Local clips do not automatically sync to another browser or device. Reopen or update an older cached game build to use the 12-hour local retention setting.
If you choose Download video to open your browser, we upload only the selected video to Cloudflare so you can open it in another browser or scan a QR code on your phone. This optional transfer provides the feature you requested. Anyone with the link can view and download that video for 12 hours, so share it carefully. The link contains a random access code, not your sign-in credentials. We use a pseudonymous account reference and daily counters to limit transfer abuse. No upload happens just because you watch a highlight or download it locally.
If you choose Share in Discord, the selected video is uploaded directly to Discord using your authenticated Discord session, and Discord opens a recipient picker. You decide whether and where to send it. This upload does not use PEW's temporary download-link storage. Discord controls its uploaded attachments and messages under its own Privacy Policy; PEW's 12-hour link expiry does not apply to them. Cancelling the recipient picker does not undo an attachment upload. Recipients may save or share copies.
Videos shared through Download video to open your browser become unavailable through PEW after 12 hours and are scheduled for automatic deletion from Cloudflare storage. Physical deletion can take longer because provider lifecycle processing is asynchronous. Transfer counters are also scheduled to expire after 24 hours. A downloaded copy is controlled by its recipient and is not removed when our link expires. Contact support@pewfps.com with the transfer link if you need help removing an active shared copy.
Who receives information
Authorised staff and service providers receive information needed for their work:
- Cloudflare: game application delivery, API, database, asset and optional highlight-transfer storage, and security.
- Hetzner: the multiplayer game host.
- Vercel: the public PEW website.
- Sentry: error reporting and investigation.
- Google Workspace: support email.
Discord operates its platform, identity services and any native checkout under its own Privacy Policy. Providers may use subprocessors for their services. We may disclose relevant information where legally required or to establish or defend legal claims. We do not make your support messages public as part of normal game operation.
International processing
Our providers operate internationally, including in the UK, European Economic Area and United States. Selecting an EU region for Sentry event storage does not keep every account, support or service operation within the EU.
Transfers rely, as applicable, on UK adequacy regulations (including eligible transfers under the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or contractual safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. Provider terms describe the mechanisms: Cloudflare, Hetzner, Vercel, Sentry and Google. Contact support@pewfps.com for information about the safeguards relevant to your data or a copy, with confidential information removed where appropriate.
How long information is kept
There is no single deletion period for every category. We use the following criteria:
- Account and progression: whether the account is still used, whether you request closure, and what is needed to preserve earned or purchased rights or resolve an outstanding issue.
- Reward and transaction records: the need to prevent duplicate grants, reconcile entitlements, handle disputes and meet applicable legal record-keeping duties. Closing an account does not automatically remove every receipt.
- Support and bug reports: whether the issue is resolved, whether the record is still needed to investigate a recurring fault or dispute, and any applicable legal obligation. In-game bug reports currently have no automatic expiry; requests for deletion are handled manually.
- Diagnostic/security information and backups: the provider's applicable retention settings, the need to investigate faults or abuse, recovery requirements and any legal hold. Deletion from active systems may precede removal from retained backups.
We do not promise that all data is automatically deleted after 90 days. Contact us to ask about a specific record or request deletion. We will explain any lawful reason for retaining information that cannot be removed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict processing of, or receive a portable copy of your information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Email support@pewfps.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Rights have legal conditions and exceptions; we will explain any that apply to your request.
Game rules automatically calculate rewards and can reject invalid claims or unauthorised access. You can ask support to review an account restriction. We do not use your information to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority where applicable. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern.
Younger players
PEW requires an account eligible to use Discord in your country. The current production test is restricted to invited accounts. Discord sign-in does not itself prove a person's age. If you believe someone below Discord's applicable minimum age has provided information to us, contact support so we can investigate. Please ask a parent or trusted adult for help if you do not understand this notice.
Changes
We will date updates and explain significant changes where appropriate, including changes needed before wider access or new data uses. This policy describes PEW; third-party services have their own notices.
